Phew! What a weekend Vallenders’ stylist, Rick Harman, has had! Having just finished his 24-hour ‘Cutathon’ to raise money for Cobalt, a leading medical charity helping in disease prevention, research, treatment and diagnosis, we’ve no doubt that today he’ll be putting his feet up and getting some hard-earned rest.
Whilst he undertook his hairdressing marathon, light refreshments and coffee were served to the clients courtesy of our fantastic friends at The Suffolk Kitchen and Moka, with cocktails served during the afternoon thanks to Crazy 8s. Everyone worked hard to keep the party atmosphere going and help spur Rick on!
Rick’s first ‘Cutathon’ client.
The money was raised in memory of Guy MacDonald, his former boss and mentor, who passed away after a long battle with cancer. The Cobalt charity aims to make a real difference to the quality of life and the outcomes for those affected by cancer and other life-limiting conditions.
We’ve still got to tally the grand total up and will make sure we keep you posted with the final figure raised, but if you weren’t able to attend and would still like to donate, Rick has set up a ‘Just giving’ account (http://www.justgiving.com/Rick-Harman) which will allow you to sponsor him online – dig deep and help him reach his £2000 target!
